As I’ve said this before and will say it again, I mostly get inspired by menswear figures rather than women. It makes me look at fashion from different point of view. But not only in fashion. In music also. Actually this is how my experience with fashion started and how I’ve developed my personal style. Let me tell you a story. Once day back in 2005, a young girl started listen to certain German band and her life totally changed. And of course style! I’m not saying I have a copied Bill style, well maybe a little. But seeing him with the torn up jeans, biker leather jacket, make up and piercings made me change my look on fashion forever!
Seeing someone who wasn’t afraid to be themselves, despite the amount of criticism around him made me realize that it’s ok to be different and stand out of the crowd. His whole persona fascinated me, he made his style look so effortless. And that’s how fashion suppose to be. Effortless as it’s a way to show the world who we are. During all those years, I have noticed that his style has changed (as did mine) and became more elegant but still with this rock ‘n’ roll feeling to it. And boy, Kinga like’s! Haha.
On a serious note. The lead singer of Tokio Hotel has always reminded me of the modern version of David Bowie. Look and the pictures and tell me if you agree with me 🙂
